Alison Tilley
Alison is the Executive Director of the Open Democracy Advice Centre . She has a BA LLB degree from the University of Cape Town. She is an attorney, who was formerly in private practice. She was the National Advocacy Manager at the Black Sash, before becoming the Centre’s first manager in 2001. She is a founding trustee of the Women’s Legal Centre, and is a member of the South African Law Reform Commission Project Committee on Data Protection.
Mukelani Dimba
Mukelani is the Deputy Executive Director of the Open Democracy Advice Centre (ODAC). Mukelani is responsible for training, research coordination and advocacy. The ODAC training unit provides assistance to public and private institutions on best compliance strategies for South Africa’s Right-to-Information laws (Promotion of Access to Information Act and the Protected Disclosures Act). The unit also provides services to civil society formations and members of the public on using the Right-to-Information laws.
Radiyah Hendriks
Radiyah is the senior administrator at the Centre. Formerly a litigation secretary, she manages the ODAC office, and the administration of the organisation. She joined the organisation in 2001.
Pumla Sithole
Pumla Sithole is the junior administrator, and joined the organisation in 2007.
Jay Kruuse
Jay is an attorney at ODAC focusing on access to information cases. He studied law at Rhodes University and was admitted as an attorney in January 2003. He initially worked as a personal injury specialist before joining the Public Service Accountability Monitor (PSAM) based at Rhodes University in 2005 where he evaluated joint anti-corruption initiatives and a commission of inquiry into public sector maladministration. He headed-up PSAM from January 2007 until mid-2011 when he joined ODAC. He is particularly interested in socio-economic rights, governance and accountability issues.
Gabriella Razzano
Gabriella is a law graduate working as the ODAC researcher. She formerly clerked with Justice Yacoob of the Constitutional Court. She has a particular focus on access to information and freedom of expression issues, and has served as an active member of the Right2Know Campaign, Coordinating Committee Member of the National Information Officers Forum and is an Honourary Member of the KwaZulu-Natal Public Sector Lawyers Association.
Ronald Menoe
Mr Ronald Menoe joined ODAC in 2009 as a Fieldworker. He has extensive experience in community development programmes having worked as an Operational Manager, Stakeholder Relationship and Events manager for the City of Johannesburg municipality. He has also worked as a social worker for the City of Johannesburg Municipality, Human Development Department. Ronald obtained a B Soc Science (Social Work) from the North West University in 1998 and completed a certificate course on Practical Labour Law with UCT in 2011.
