The Centre provides practical and niche services to individuals and to organisations with a social justice agenda. The centre helps citizens access their rights in respect of three key pieces of legislation, namely:

The Promotion of Access to Information Act provides for the right of access to any information held by the state and any information that is held by another person and that is required for the exercise of protection of any rights.
The Protected Disclosures Act makes provision for procedures in terms of which employees, in both the private and public sector, who disclose information of unlawful or corrupt conduct by their employers are protected from occupational detriment.
The Promotion of Administrative Justice Act gives people the right to ask for reasons for administrative decisions.
