10 Years Leading the Campaign for the Right to Know
In early 2010 ODAC Celebrated “10 Years of Leadof Leading the Campaign for the Right to Know”. In a Dinner event held at Townhouse hotel local and International associates extended their well wishes and congratulations to ODAC. Advocate Pansy Tlakula gave a keynote address as the Special Rapporteur for Freedom of Expression and Access to Information in Africa. Other international associates present were Ms Laura Newman a Manager, Access to Information Project Associate Director Americas Program, at the Carter Centre. She presented ODAC with a book and message from former US President Jimmy Carter. Mr Guy Dehn passed on good wishes on behalf of all ODACs International Associates.
The all day celebrations started with a 10 Year review session where delegates reviewed successes and shortcomings of Access to information and whistle blowing issues. 10 Year Celebration
